Royal Highness Product Review

8/8/2019

Picture
Royal Highness is a Toronto-based cannabis edible company, specializing in handcrafted, high quality, cannabis-infused chocolates, desserts and treats. From chocolates, to candies, cookies and so much more, there's a great variety of things to choose from in their menu, all made by hand by a licensed Red Seal pastry chef.  Customers can place orders online to have any of their items shipped right to their door and even book classes and parties!

I came across Royal Highness visiting one of the local Toronto cannabis vendor markets a while ago where I tried their amazing infused Twix-style chocolate, and was recently fortunate enough to try some of her newest treats. I had seen updates from Royal Highness and was excited to try their new infused Oreo-style cookie I had seen them developing.

M'Oreo Cookie
This cookie looked incredible and even had a super cool, cannabis-themed mould which I had never seen before, and looked as good as any commercial-grade cookie. Each cookie is made with infused whole-bud cannabutter, and contains around 50mg of THC. The flavour of the cannabis was not noticeable at all, and although not tasting like an Oreo cookie, it tasted sweet and pleasant, with a fluffy creme filling.

Coconut Chocolate Bar
This tempered, milk chocolate bar came adorned with coconut flakes along the bottom of the bar which was a great addition to the flavour, texture and aesthetic. Infused with around 80mg of THC, each square of this chocolate bar would contain around 10mg, making this a very effective treat for anyone with a lower tolerance to cannabis to start low and go slow until they're comfortable. The cannabis taste was hardly noticeable, the chocolate tasted great, and the coconut flakes added a nice little crunch to every bite.

Terples
A cannabis-infused replica of the classic Turtles chocolate, this chocolate was moulded just like a turtle and looked almost too cute to eat.... almost. This chocolate turtle contained a whole pecan and a nice level of caramel, making it extremely flavourful and crunchy. These turtles come in a pack of two, and each turtle is infused with around 25mg of THC.

Assorted Hard Candies
These hard candies came in a few different shapes and in three different flavours: Strawberry/Kiwi, Blueberry and Peach. These candies were made using infused coconut oil and contained around 10mg of THC in each piece. Their low dose makes it perfect for new users to gauge their effects well.

I took these candies with me on my trip overseas which came very handy to relax me on my flights. These candies become quite chewy and become like taffy once you start biting on them. They tasted great, with a subtle but pleasant hint of cannabis flavour.

Summary
Consuming these edibles was such a pleasure, and after having the chocolate bar in one sitting, the M'Oreo cookie and Terple in another sitting, and the candies while travelling, I can happily say that each time, I was able to enjoy the wonderful effects of the cannabis, each time leaving me happy and relaxed.
